Solutions@MBAF Implements Cloud Based Microsoft Office And Email For International Law Firm

http://www.mbafcpa.com/pressrelease/1927/Solutions%40MBAF-Implements-Cloud-Based-Microsoft-Office-And-E.aspx

MIAMI (March 7, 2012) - Solutions@MBAF was recently tasked with finding a system for private law firm client, Perlman Law International, that would accommodate the firm's need to host in-house applications, provide remote access to personal computers, and incorporate an email service that would deliver high reliability and flexibility to access email boxes using a Blackberry device.

Located in Miami, Perlman Law International is directed by George Perlman, P.A. The flexibility of Mr. Perlman's practice to work with both civil and common law systems has been bolstered for the last 20 years by the support of a satellite office in London to the main office in Miami. Mr. Perlman travels extensively, including regularly to New York and London. When he decided to relocate to a new office in Miami and setup his own IT infrastructure, he sought the help of Solutions@MBAF to recommend and implement the best system for his firm's needs.

"Mr. Perlman's case is very common in that now more than ever business owners and executives are working remotely and traveling, and need secure, reliable and flexible access to emails, records and client documents," said Stuart Rosenberg, president of Solutions@MBAF. "At Solutions@MBAF, we pride ourselves with being a single source for fully integrated, reliable and cost-effective technology solutions that align IT with a company's business goals and objectives. For Perlman Law International, we were able to find a tailored solution that met the client's exact needs while minimizing costs."

In making a recommendation to Mr. Perlman, Solutions@MBAF team members considered the
high upfront cost of setting up a new IT infrastructure. To keep costs down, Solutions recommended that Perlman Law International use Microsoft's cloud service. By using Microsoft's cloud based Office 365. The Solutions@MBAF team could implement a cost effective Small Business Server solution, like Essentials Edition, for Perlman Law International that does not require client access licenses be purchased. In addition, using the email cloud service from Microsoft to handle the firm's emails eliminated the need to expend on a third party application to filter SPAM and protect from viruses coming through emails. The solution was cost-effective because Microsoft's cloud services include all these as part of its Exchange Online package with full Blackberry synchronization at no extra cost.

"It was crucial to me that I revamp my IT system to one that would allow me to conduct my business from anywhere not only from my new home office in Miami, but also when I am in London or New York" said Perlman. "It's great to work with business partners like Solutions@MBAF who have my bottom line in mind and understand my business needs to help me run a more productive practice."
