Ronald D. Finkelstein Joins The Board of Directors For The Memorial Foundation and Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital Foundation

FORT LAUDERDALERonald D. Finkelstein, Certified Public Accountant, partner in charge of the Healthcare Services Group at nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), was recently appointed as a Board Member of the Memorial Foundation and Board and Finance Committee Member of the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation.

Located in Hollywood, Fla., both the Memorial Foundation and the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation provide the philanthropic support that supplements the income from payors and tax revenues received by Memorial Healthcare System. Their work helps Memorial fulfill its mission to provide safe, quality, cost-effective, customer-focused healthcare services to its patients, regardless of ability to pay.

With more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, Finkelsteinfocuses on helping clients meet their financial objectives and identify opportunities for expansion. Over the course of his career, he has givencounsel and testimony relating to breach of contract and other legal disputes for healthcare providers. Additionally, he has provided accounting,auditing, consulting and valuation of medical practices and other healthcare providers. He has lectured both locally and nationally on a widevariety of healthcare accounting and practice management topics, including presenting at the AICPA National Healthcare Industry Conference.

Finkelstein is involved in leadership roles in a number of other professional organizations, including serving as past chairman of the HealthCare Industry Committee of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, past president of the National CPA Health Care Advisor'sAssociation, editor of the Practice Management Advisor, and as a National Healthcare Industry Conference Steering Committee member for theAmerican institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves as a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the HealthcareFinancial Management Association, and the Medical Group Management Association.
