Tony Argiz, Ramon de Legorburu and Avelino Rodrigues awarded the CFF Credential

MIAMI – Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), Florida's largest independent public accounting firm, is proud to announce that managing partner, Tony Argiz, and directors Ramon de Legorburu and Avelino Rodrigues, have all been awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) Credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The CFF Credential is granted to qualified CPAs with considerable professional experience in financial forensics.

The CFF Credential is a new certification that was approved by the AICPA Governing Council in May 2008. According to the AICPA, the designation was created in response to the rising demand for forensic accounting services, which is expected to continue as businesses increasingly seek out experts to help them with a broad range of issues such as economic damages, family law, fraud investigations and litigation.

"Forensic accounting continues to be an area of need for today's businesses," said Argiz. "The new Certified in Financial Forensics Credential will distinguish MBAF as an ideal resource to help organizations solve their business and accounting challenges."

Argiz, de Legorburu and Rodrigues all met the requirements to earn the CFF Credential, which includes demonstrating extensive business experience in the area of financial forensics, as well as completing a minimum of 75 hours of life-long learning and education activities in the respective field. The CFF Credential is granted exclusively to CPAs who are members in good standing of the AICPA which binds them to the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.
