Ursula Arner Appointed to Hands On Miami Board

MIAMI – Ursula Arner, CPA at Morrison Brown Argiz & Farra (MBAF), the largest Florida-based independent public accounting firm in the State, has been appointed to the board of Hands On Miami, a non-profit organization that works to make community service "user-friendly" by providing flexibly-scheduled, meaningful volunteer opportunities to the public. As a member of the board, Ursula will be responsible for raising funds and expanding the organization's volunteer program to new parts of the community.

"Hands On Miami makes volunteering accessible for people with even the busiest schedules," said Ursula. "We in the business community have a responsibility to bridge the gap between career and volunteering, and Hands On Miami does just that."

Hands On Miami volunteers bring hope, support and joy to lives often overshadowed by instability and uncertainty, which serves to improve the quality of life in the community. Individuals and families can participate in volunteer activities such as feeding the homeless, providing companionship for the elderly, tutoring at-risk children and building low-income housing.

Ursula is a manager in the Tax and Accounting Services Department and has over nine years of public accounting experience. She specializes in corporate, individual, and partnership tax planning with an emphasis on real estate acquisition, professional associations and closely-held companies. Ursula earned both her master's of science degree in taxation and her bachelor's of science degree in accounting from Florida International University.
