Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP Adds Accountants Jeffrey Blinn and Daniel Chavez to its Miami Office

MIAMI – Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), the leading Florida-based accounting and management consulting firm, announces that accountants Jeffrey Blinn and Daniel Chavez have joined the firm.
"Jeffrey and Daniel have over 30 years of combined experience in the fields of tax and accounting, and will bring invaluable knowledge and skill to our firm," said Tony Argiz, managing partner of Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra. "They are a welcomed addition to our dynamic practice and will be powerful advocates on behalf of our firm and our diverse business portfolio."
Jeffrey Blinn, who joins the firm as International Tax Director, will focus his practice on planning, compliance, tax accounting, and audits with an emphasis on beneficial treasury and net income impacts for both individual and corporate international clients. Formerly with Deloitte & Touche LLP, Blinn has extensive experience working with New York Stock Exchange companies on implementing strategies to locate debt and increase after-tax earnings, as well as multi-million dollar tax write-offs for overseas investments. He also served as a senior tax attorney for Shell Oil Company and brings a wealth of international legal experience to MBAF.
Blinn is a graduate of Dickens College with a bachelor of arts degree and went on to receive his law degree from Washington College of Law at American University and his LL.M. degree in taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center. Blinn is a licensed certified public accountant in Florida and Texas, as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Florida International Fiscal Association. He is also a member of the District of Colombia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
Daniel Chavez joins MBAF as an internal auditor, where he will be responsible for managing the financial reports and preparation of financial statements on behalf of the firm. Formerly with LNR Property Corporation, Chavez managed the financial reporting department for the real estate servicing and finance group division of LNR, where he was responsible for monthly internal reporting packages as well as quarterly reporting packages that included 10Q/10K SEC filings.
A licensed certified public accountant in Florida, Chavez earned a bachelor of science degree and masters of science in taxation from Florida International University. He went on to receive his masters of business administration from the University of Miami.
