MBAF Announces Three New Partners: Barbeito, Bravo, Hollander

MIAMI – Florida-based accounting and management consulting firm, Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra LLP (MBAF), announces that David Barbeito, Rosa Bravo and David Hollander have been elected partner.

The new partners and their practice areas are: David Barbeito, Auditing and Business Advisory Services; Rosa Bravo, Tax Consulting; David Hollander , Auditing and Tax Consulting.

Before becoming partner, David Barbeito was Director in the Audit department of MBAF. With nearly a decade of auditing and accounting experience, Barbeito focuses his practice on auditing services for finance companies, manufacturing companies, not-for-profits, professional sports franchises, real estate, tobacco growers and wholesale distributors. He is also experienced in first-time-through audit engagements and advisory services to privately-held companies. Actively involved in professional organizations, Barbeito is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Barbeito holds a master's degree in accounting from Florida International University.

Prior to her promotion to partner, Rosa Bravo served as a director in MBAF's Tax Consulting Department. Bravo marks a milestone at MBAF by becoming only the third female partner in the firm's history. Since joining the firm 10 years ago, she has focused her practice on all facets of tax services for small businesses and individuals, with an emphasis on real estate, retail automotive and small businesses. Bravo's professional affiliations include, membership to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and an Alumnus of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Miami program. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in taxation from Florida International University.

David Hollander, partner at MBAF, was previously director in both the audit and tax departments of the firm. With over 11 years of experience in accounting, he specializes in audits of small and medium size businesses. Some of the businesses include, auto dealerships, construction companies, homeowners associations and franchisers. Hollander has also been involved in business valuations, business damage estimates, litigation support, eminent domain cases and wrongful death calculations. Active in both the professional and civic community, Hollander is involved with the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants Young CPA Committee, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Miami program and Business Network International. Hollander holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in taxation from Florida International University.
