MBAF Names Three New Directors: Couto, Crespo and Pazos

MIAMI – Florida-based accounting and management consulting firm, Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra LLP (MBAF), announces that Rolando Couto, Alex Crespo and Wadih Pazos have been promoted to directors.

"Rolando, Alex and Wadih exemplify our firm's commitment to client service," said Tony Argiz, managing partner of Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra. "All three have demonstrated professional dedication and hard work, and we are pleased to recognize them as the newest directors at Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra."

Before becoming director, Rolando Couto was a Senior Manager in the Litigation Support Services department of MBAF. With over a decade of experience in public accounting, Couto focuses his practice on litigation support in cases involving personal injury tort claims, accountant malpractice, divorce proceedings, bankruptcy cases and business damages. Prior to joining the litigation department, he was Supervisor of the Audit department. His areas of expertise include financial institutions and the automotive and manufacturing industries. Couto is a member of the Florida International Banker's Association and the Georgetown Club of Miami. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Georgetown University.

Prior to his promotion to director, Alex Crespo served as a Senior Manager in the Audit department at MBAF. At MBAF, Crespo focuses his practice on auditing services for the not-for-profit organizations and businesses within the automotive, healthcare and manufacturing industries. Crespo also participates in litigation support activities including fraud investigations and various other financial analyses for use in court proceedings. Crespo is a graduate of Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Miami program and a member of CPAmerica. He is also actively involved with the United Way Campaign. He holds bachelor's degrees in accounting and management from Florida International University (FIU) and a master's degree in accounting from FIU.

Wadih Pazos, director at MBAF, was Business Process Automation Manager and Business Solutions Expert in the CIS department of the firm. Pazos specializes in streamlining client operations by reduci

 

ng costly manual processing, increasing efficiency and minimizing defects. Contributing to one of the most important achievements at MBAF, Pazos co-invented PaperSave®, a software product that automates the process of imaging and storing source documents into well-known information systems. PaperSave® has just been certified as an add-on product to Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 system (SBA 2006), the first mass-market single solution that transforms a small business into an efficient paperless office. Pazos holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Florida International University.
