Thursday, August 16, 2007

United Way of Miami-Dade directors and trustees recently elected Tony Argiz, managing partner of Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra (MBAF), as chair of its board. A well-known community and business leader, Argiz begins a one-year term as United Way board chair this summer. He takes over from Richard Fain, chairman and CEO, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd., who chaired the United Way board from 2005-2007.

"Tony has a remarkable record of service and leadership in this community," Harve A. Mogul, president and CEO United Way of Miami Dade, said. "We are thrilled to have someone with his passion and commitment to helping others at the helm of our organization."

For more than 30 years, Argiz has donated his time, money and resources to improve lives in Miami-Dade. He has served as treasurer, chair of United Way's finance and administration committee and co-chair of the campaign.
