Ira Silver, CPA, is a principal in the Tax and Accounting Department at MBAF. Ira is the principal-in-charge of the firm’s Orlando office. Ira has been in the public accounting profession since 1982.

Ira’s experience includes litigation support, audit, business consulting and tax planning to small and largely closely held businesses in retail and wholesale/distribution industries and high net worth individuals. Ira has been involved with litigation cases of bankruptcy, business valuation, contractual disputes, divorce and fraud litigation. He also has served as an expert witness in trial.

Ira specializes in the acquisition and sale of automotive dealerships. He has extensive experience with valuation of automotive dealerships, compliance review relating to income tax provisions, financial statement reporting (audit, review and compilation), estate and succession planning, LIFO inventory reserves, negotiating capital, real estate and floor plan loans with financial institutions, negotiate purchase and sale of dealerships, negotiate reductions in federal, state, sales and/or use tax assessments, profitability studies, analysis and consulting for various profit centers within a dealership.

Ira is a certified public accountant licensed in the states of Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and North Carolina.
