Alfredo J. De Zayas, CPA, is a director in the Tax and Accounting Department at MBAF. Alfredo has been in the public accounting profession since 1980.

Alfredo provides tax and compliance services on federal income, estate and gift tax to domestic and international clients. He has extensive experience in various industries including financial institutions, professional services firms, real estate (investments, developers and contractors), shipping, telecommunications and wholesale/distribution. He also represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service. He also represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service. In addition, Alfredo has provided tax consulting and advice to broker-dealers, hedge funds and private equity funds on a variety of tax issues.

Alfredo specializes in international tax focusing his practice on issues arising in international transactions, cross-border transfers, mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, voluntary disclosures, foreign investments in U.S. real property and businesses, as well as outbound transfers. Alfredo has trained and developed in-house professional staff in the field of international tax. He is a frequent speaker at tax conferences and seminars on topics dealing with international tax.

Prior to joining MBAF,  Alfredo worked for other major South Florida CPA firms.
