Tony L. Argiz Named 2006 Innovative Firm Leader by Leading Edge Alliance

Miami - Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP, the largest Florida-based public accounting firm in the State, announces that Managing Partner Tony L. Argiz was named as "Innovative Firm Leader of the Year" by Leading Edge Alliance, the international professional association of independently-owned accounting and consulting firms. This designation is awarded to leaders who demonstrate outstanding vision and direction as well as play a major role in their firm's success.

Argiz, a highly respected and nationally renowned practitioner, has been the driving force behind the recent growth of Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra. At the time he took over leadership in 1997, the firm earned revenues of eight million dollars with 12 employees; the firm's revenues now exceed revenues of $37 million with 186 employees.

In presenting Argiz with the award, the association acknowledged his success in developing various niche practices within the firm, growing them to predominance in the marketplace and developing a strong team of professionals.

In addition to his many professional achievements, Argiz is an active community and industry leader who has co-chaired the United Way of Miami-Dade County campaign, served as president of the Miami Dade College Foundation, a member of the Orange Bowl Committee, served the governing body of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and was the first Cuban-American appointed by the governor to chair Florida's Board of Accountancy.
