MBAF Names Avelino Rodriguez a Director of Litigation

Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), the largest independent public accounting firm in Florida, announces the addition of Avelino Rodrigues as its newest director of litigation. 

Rodrigues has over 13 years of advisory services experience as a certified public accountant, including financial due diligence, complex accounting and fraud investigations, anti-money laundering investigations and the evaluation of related programs and regulatory compliance services.  Most recently, Rodrigues served as Director of Investigative and Integrity Advisory Services for a Big Four accounting firm. In this capacity, he was part of the Forensic practice's Leadership Forum and Risk Management committee and was responsible for conducting financial and compliance investigations for premier global financial institutions, Fortune-level publicly traded companies as well as for foreign governments and the International Monetary Fund.

Rodrigues earned a master's degree in accounting and bachelor's degree in economics, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Association of Certified Anti-money Laundering Specialists. He is fluent in English, Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish.
