Ana M. Larias Appointed to Girl Scouts' Finance Committee

Ana M. Larias, CPA and manager at Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), the largest Florida-based public accounting firm in the State, has recently been appointed to the Girl Scouts' finance committee. Serving as an oversight and advisory body to the organization, the finance committee establishes financial goals as well as reviews and monitors the fiscal performance of the organization.  

At MBAF, Larias is responsible for engagement planning, budgeting, assessing internal controls and fraud risk factors while satisfying emerging audit standards, as well as the overall supervision and completion of the audit engagement.  Her expertise includes significant work with nonprofit organizations, which will be an asset in managing the Girl Scouts' financial health and continued growth.

Larias graduated cum laude from Florida International University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's in science with an emphasis in taxation. Larias is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the United Way's audit committee.
