Miguel G. Farra Joins Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Company As Shareholder

MIAMI - January 2, 2002 - Tony Argiz, CPA, managing shareholder of Miami-based accounting and management consulting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Company, announced today that Miguel G. Farra, CPA, JD, has joined the firm as shareholder. Formerly a principal with Kaufman Rossin & Company, Farra will use his extensive income tax, estate planning and international tax experience as he oversees MBA's Tax Department.

Farra has more than 26 years experience in the areas of tax planning, tax controversies, international tax and finance for private and publicly held companies. He has successfully led teams of auditors and tax professionals in mergers and acquisitions and accounting and audit services for domestic and international businesses.

A certified public accountant and an attorney, Farra is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Bar Association, and the Florida Bar Association and its Tax Section. He is a qualified expert with the United States Tax Court, Miami-Dade County Circuit Court, and the Broward County Circuit Court.

Farra graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami with a bachelor's degree in business administration, where he also earned his law degree. A dedicated child advocate, he was chairman of the Children's Foundation of Greater Miami and a member of the board of directors for the Children's Home Society of Florida and Informed Families.
