Frank Gonzalez Of Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Company Was Named An Up And Comers Award Finalist By The South Florida Business Journal

MIAMI, FL - May 28, 2003 - Frank Gonzalez, CPA, a partner at Miami-based accounting and management consulting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Company, was recently selected as a finalist for the South Florida Business Journal's Up and Comers Award. Presented by Maroone, an AutoNation Company, the Up and Comers Award is designed to recognize business and civic leaders, under the age of 40, who are making their mark with outstanding achievements throughout the South Florida community.

As partner-in-charge of the Financial Institutions Division at MBA, Gonzalez specializes in audit and business advisory services to community banks, international banks, and investment funds. He has several years of experience in South Florida providing extensive services to national and international public and privately held companies in a variety of industries including real estate, telecommunications, manufacturing and technology. Prior to joining MBA, Gonzalez spent two years at Arthur Andersen as a senior manager, preceded by eight years with KPMG, most recently as a senior manager in the Assurance Department in Miami.

In addition to his professional achievements, Gonzalez is a dedicated community leader. Most recently he was nominated to become a member of the United Way Impact Committee that decides the allocation of funds amongst organizations affiliated with United Way in Miami-Dade County. He is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana and cochairs its yearly fund raising event that generates approximately $1.5 million for community service projects. Gonzalez was also actively involved with the Association for Retarded Citizens of United Way, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the American Diabetes Association.

Gonzalez received his bachelor's of science in accounting from Florida International University and his master's of business administration from the University of Miami. He is a member of the Latin Builders Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as a member of the Executive Advisory Committee of the Cuban-American Certified Public Accountants Association.
