Mark R. Thaw, CPA, CVA, Joins Morrison, Brown, Argiz, & Farra, LLP as a Partner in the Firm's Broward Office

MIAMI - December 6, 2004 - Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP, a Miami-based accounting and management consulting firm, announced today the addition of Mark R. Thaw, CPA, CVA, as partner. Based in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office, Thaw will focus his practice on tax and financial planning, litigation support services, and valuation consulting. For more than 30 years, he has advised clients in a wide range of industries, including professional services, transportation, real estate development, banking, retail automotive and telecommunications.

Thaw has extensive experience in expert witness testimony on a variety of matters and has participated in numerous cases before Florida and Arizona courts, including the Bankruptcy Division of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. His additional areas of expertise include economic damage determination and insurance recovery, as well as acquisitions and sales consulting. Prior to joining Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, Thaw was a principal at a South Florida accounting firm.

A certified public accountant and certified valuation analyst, Thaw is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of CPAs, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. His national leadership positions with the AICPA include serving on the Steering Committee of the National Automobile Dealership Conference and as a member of the Technical Standards Committee for Management Advisory Services.

Mark is a graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Miami. He also attended the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' School of Banking at the University of Virginia.
