Miami, Florida - Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra belongs to the largest network of independent CPAmerica firms in the country, CPAmerica International.
With a record growth of 52 new firms - representing a 29 percent increase in the past year - CPAmerica, in conjunction with its subsidiary network, CPAConnect, grew to become the largest network of independent CPA firms in the United States in 2004. Its U.S. membership is now 229 firms.
Based on 2004 figures from Accounting Today and the International Accounting Bulletin, only the "Big Four" national firms and H&R Block are larger in the United States. Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra has belonged to the CPAmerica network since June 1980.
"We plan to add 50 new firms in 2005," said Douglas H. Thompson, Jr., CPA, CPAmerica president and CEO. "With our 26 full-time staff and wide array of services and products, there is not a better value for growth-committed CPA firms in America.
"Our challenge is to marshal the collective resources to put the talents of thousands of CPAs to work for our members to enable them to better serve their clients. Our goal is to position our member CPA firms as the 'preferred choice' in their respective markets, bringing their clients the best of both worlds - the close personal attention of a local firm combined with the knowledge and power of a global network."
CPAmerica is also one of the largest networks in the world through its strategic alliance with Horwath International. The CPAmerica/Horwath alliance generates annual revenues of $1.8 billion with nearly 20,000 employees in more than 400 cities around the globe.
