Mark R. Thaw, CPA/ABV, CVA, is a partner in the Tax and Accounting Department of Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP. He brings to bear more than three decades of experience in accounting and in tax and financial planning, litigation support services and valuation consulting.
Throughout his distinguished accounting career, Mark has counseled a wide range of clients in the professional services industry, transportation industry, real estate development, banking, retail automotive, and the cable, telecommunications and broadcasting industries.
Mark has extensive experience in expert witness testimony on a variety of matters and participated in numerous cases before Florida and Arizona courts, including the Bankruptcy Division of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is highly skilled in the areas of economic damage determination and insurance recovery, in addition to providing astute counsel as it relates to acquisitions and sales.
A certified public accountant and certified valuation analyst, Mark has provided accounting and business consulting services across the country for more than 35 years, advising clients in Florida, Texas, California, Colorado, New York, Massachusetts, Arizona, Louisiana, Connecticut, and the United States Virgin Islands.
Mark is a member of the AICPA, the Florida Institute of CPAs, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the South Florida Tax Litigation Association. Among his national leadership positions with the AICPA include serving on the Steering Committee of the National Automobile Dealership Conference and as a member of the Technical Standards Committee for Management Advisory Services.
A recipient of the Distinguished Citizen Award, Mark was a board member and executive committee member of the Performing Arts for Community and Education for several years.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Miami. He also attended the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants School of Banking at the University of Virginia.
