The South Florida Business Journal has designated Ronald D. Finkelstein, CPA, a partner at Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP, as a heavy hitter in South Florida's health care industry. Nominations were sought from the public, and those included in the list were selected based on the nominees' prominence, achievements and community involvement. One of only 50 South Floridians recognized this year as a health care heavy hitter, Ron leads the firm's Health Care Services Division, providing accounting, tax, litigation, valuation and consulting services to a broad range of health care providers. The South Florida Business Journal reported that Ron has "developed a local and statewide reputation as an independent, objective CPA advisor to physicians and other providers." According to Ron, one of his biggest challenges has been helping providers understand and respond to the financial impact of declining reimbursements on their businesses, which he has met with proactive service and value-added recommendations to improve provider profitability.
