Miami - December 23, 2005 - Ron Finkelstein, a partner in the accounting and tax consulting department of leading Florida-based accounting and management consulting firm, Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), was recently honored with an Excellence in Accounting Award in the health care category. The awards, which acknowledge distinction in the field of accounting services, are given annually by the South Florida Business Journal.
Finkelstein is director of MBAF's Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office and leads the firm's health care services group. He has extensive experience with various health care providers in the areas of accounting, auditing, tax planning, consulting, valuation of medical practices and other healthcare providers, to physician/third party contracting, mergers and acquisitions, and comprehensive physician strategic planning.
Active in professional organizations, Finkelstein is a member of the Steering Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants National Healthcare Industry Conference. He also formerly served as president of the National Certified Public Accountants Health Care Advisor's Association and as chairman of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountant's Health Care Industry Committee. Finkelstein holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
