Miami – December 23, 2005 – Raul Incera, a partner in the tax consulting department of leading Florida-based accounting and management consulting firm, Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), was recently recognized as a finalist in the financial institutions category of the Excellence in Accounting Awards given by the South Florida Business Journal. The awards, which acknowledge distinction in the field of accounting services, are given annually by the regional business publication.
Incera focuses his practice on international tax services with an emphasis on the financial services industry, including international and domestic banks, broker-dealers, and investment funds. He specializes in advising clients on the taxation of foreign investments in the United States and on U.S. investments abroad, while possessing an exceptional depth of knowledge in cross-border transactions and investments, income tax treaties and foreign tax credits.
Active in professional and community organizations, Incera is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida International Bankers Association, South Florida Banking Institute, the Institute of International Bankers and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. He is also a volunteer for the Southwest YMCA and the South Miami Youth Baseball League.
A certified public accountant, Incera holds a master’s degree in taxation from Florida International University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami where he was cum laude.
