Elgin F. Polo, CPA/ABV, CVA, is a partner in the Litigation Support Department at MBAF. Elgin has been in the public accounting profession since 1997.
His civil litigation experience includes lost profit analysis, business valuations, settlement negotiations, purchase or sale of a business and shareholder disputes.
His experience and training as a forensic accountant, business valuator, tax advisor and family law mediator give him a specialization to provide support at mediation as well as in the court room. He works with the separating parties and their attorneys to provide income and expense evaluations, asset and liability analysis, property distribution, alimony and child support computations, client representation in mediations and expert witness depositions.
Elgin provides business and accounting guidance to small businesses in the areas of property management, real estate investments and professional services.
Elgin is a certified public accountant in Florida and New York. He is a certified valuation analyst, accredited in business valuation and a Supreme Court certified family mediator. He is also an adjunct professor in accounting at Florida International University.
