Marjorie A. Horwin, CPA, is the partner in charge of the firm's Boca Raton office serving Palm Beach County and is responsible for the Private Wealth Services Group at Morrison, Brown, Argiz and Farra, LLP.
Marjorie has practiced in the area of estate, trust and exempt organization tax planning and compliance since 1988. She specializes in working with high net worth individuals and owners of closely-held businesses to develop integrated lifetime and testamentary plans that minimize income and transfer taxes, provide asset protection, facilitate business succession and address retirement and charitable planning issues.
With a focus on private and family wealth preservation, Marjorie works closely with her clients to identify their income and estate planning objectives. She reviews existing entity structures and testamentary plans to improve their income and estate tax efficiency. Marjorie also has extensive experience with fiduciary and estate tax compliance, formation and administration of private foundations and public charities, fiduciary accounting for issuance to courts and beneficiaries, representing clients in income, gift and estate tax examinations, providing litigation support for estate and trust controversies and consulting on international income and estate planning tax issues. In addition, Marjorie holds an expertise in partnership accounting, compliance and valuation as it pertains to estate planning and gift tax.
Marjorie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Jewish Community Foundation, a former president of the Boca Raton Tax Institute, a member of the Board of Directors for the Boca Raton Museum Foundation and the Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park. She is also a member of the Boca Raton Estate Planning Council and the FICPA Estate and Finance Planning Committee.
Marjorie received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree and Master of Science in Taxation degree from the University of Miami and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida.
