Ira Silver, CPA, is a partner with Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP. Ira has been in the public accounting profession since 1982.

Ira’s experience includes litigation support, auditing and business consultation services to small and largely closely held businesses in retail, wholesale and service industries and specializes in the acquisition and sale of automobile dealerships. Ira has been involved with litigation cases of bankruptcy, business valuation, contractual disputes, divorce, and fraud litigation.

Ira has been involved with valuation of automotive dealerships, compliance review relating to income tax provisions, financial statement reporting (audit, review and compilation), estate and succession planning, LIFO inventory reserves, negotiating capital, real estate and floor plan loans with financial institutions, negotiate purchase and sale of dealerships, negotiate reductions in federal, state, sales and/or use tax assessments, profitability studies, analysis and consulting for various profit centers within a dealership, and valuation of automobile dealerships. He also has served as an expert witness in trial.

Ira has authored an article for the Florida CPA Today regarding Bankruptcy – Take Action Now. He has co-authored for the Florida Institute of CPAs: Accounting for Automobile Dealerships – Handbook. Most recently he authored Best Practices, Adherence to Processes Will See You Through the Volatility for the Dealer Business Journal.

Ira is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
