Kashyap Bakhai, CPA/ABV, M.S.T., is a partner in the tax department of Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra. Throughout his twenty years career in the public accounting profession, Kashyap has represented numerous mid-size family owned businesses, sports athletes, estates & trusts, real estate investors, wholesalers/distributors, international clients, auto dealerships, community banks and restaurants. Bakhai has particular expertise serving professional sports athletes, 401 (k) audits.
He combines his technical tax knowledge with his broad business experience to meet the unique needs of each client. He services the clients in a proactive and concerned manner. He has successfully represented numerous clients against the Internal Revenue and State of Florida. Kashyap has performed business valuations of businesses, investment partnerships and other entities for the last ten years. He is accredited as a Valuation Professional and has earned his ABV.
Kashyap has lectured and written extensively about complex tax matters and is regarded in the professional community as one of the best tax minds in South Florida. In addition, Kashyap has written on such topics as the tax benefits of LLCs, year-end tax planning, Qualified Subchapter S Subsidiaries, Business Valuation and International Taxation. He is past president of the Dade County Chapter of FICPA and past chairman of the Federal Income Tax Committee and of the Estate Planning Committee.
Kashyap earned a master's of science in taxation from Florida International University as well as a master's in accounting from the State University of New York in Binghamton. He also received a bachelor's of science in commerce from University of Bombay in India.
